an Acoustic follow up to the band's February release, BEAUTIFUL SCARS features a much more intimate side to the band, showcasing their songwriting and simplicity. The EP opens up with 'It Matters To Him', a southern rock style song with powerful vocal melodies. The next track is the title song, 'Beautiful Scars'. 'Beautiful Scars' speaks of scars not as something to be hidden or ashamed of, but embraced, because the scars we have make us unique, they make us who we are, and they make us beautiful. This was chosen as the EP name because it is the recurring theme of the songs and has the strongest message. 'This Sleepless Night' follows, and tells the story of several young people who passed on leaving their families behind, and asks what happens to the victims future husbands or future wives, coming to the conclusion that they start over, none the wiser. The releases only single, '1458 Days (Gone Away)' is a story of someone trying to find his place in life when everyone he loves and holds close has left. This comes to a climax with the golden question "Where will I belong?". The fifth track is a continuation of the single, and the first straight worship song the band has written. 'Til Were Singing' is the aftermath of '1458 Days', where the person realizes what to do now that he's on his own, as he wont be coming home (to heaven) until he has everybody singing of God's glory. The release comes to an end with 'My Testimony', Singer Mark DeMao's personal story. "There is no better way to end an intimate record called Beautiful Scars than sharing my own, the only way that I know" he says of the song. The song closes the EP like a whisper...
